JEPPESEN COUNTS PIRATE SHIPS AMONG MULTI-MODAL OPPORTUNITIES
 Over the past few weekends millions of people around the world swarmed theatres like scurvy pirates plundering a treasure chest filled with Aztec gold to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. The third installment of Disney's wildly successful pirate adventure hauled in over $400 million worldwide in just one weekend.
It's no secret that Jeppesen is creating multi-modal opportunities in the transportation industry and you can now add pirate ships to the list of transportation modes touched by Jeppesen. Disney enlisted our help while filming 'Pirates' II and III. The movie giant purchased Jeppesen Marine's Nobeltec Tides & Currents software and charts for on-set use while filming the blockbusters on location in the Caribbean. It's possible, but not confirmed, that Jeppesen charts were onboard the actual pirate vessels themselves. At the very least, Jeppesen products were used for planning the course of filming in the area.
When you watch, remember that Jeppesen helped make it possible to lead a double-crossing crew of buccaneers on their voyage through the waters of the Caribbean - and for millions of people all over the world to sail along for the ride. Savvy?

SANCTUARY COVE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW (SCBS)
Jeppesen Marine proudly supported its newly acquired company, C-Map by Jeppesen and its Australian Dealer, MR Marine Electronics, at the SCBS, held in May 2007 in Queensland, Australia.
